Who benefits from the Ideal Student Workshop
(ISW)
Freshmen in high school: The
life and study skills offered in the ISW go a long way toward
easing the transition to high school.
Students transferring from
public to private schools: High-performing
public school students find themselves in a new system
which imposes unique social and academic demands.
Students earning between a 2.0 and
2.8 GPA: These students often possess the natural
ability to perform at a higher level, but they lack the skills
and systematic approach that yield more consistent and desirable
results.
Juniors in high school: The
Junior year is the most important academic year, and this burden
is exacerbated by the complicated, stressful, and time-consuming
college application process.
Students seeking to improve their academic
performance: We believe that all students can benefit
from the organization, study, and critical thinking skills taught
in this workshop. This is particularly applicable for student who
participate in extra-curricular activities and need to maximize their
time and efficiency.
Schools and non-profit organizations: Several
organizations have contracted EE to operate the ISW for large numbers
of students. Participants attend workshops in groups of 7-10 and
their performance in the workshop is evaluated in correlation with
their progress in school. For schools or organizations that offer
scholarships, this is a great way to provide comprehensive support
for students and to track and assess their performance.
